Over twenty years ago, there was a promise in the room for new relations from the west. While globalization has been a constant movement, said relations still haven't stretched far enough for car parts to be something affordable to common-folk.

While many people have cars, it's not always a given that repairs will be easy on your wallet. For those who have stock vehicles with the demand to put them through modifications, should it be for racing, drifting or other purposes, it always has been an uphill battle. Constant promises of this changing in the upcoming years remained with many people going home empty handed. Many communities with their focus on vehicular sports are far from satisfied, some groups even going as far  to start riots to express how upset they are with the situation.

Hanto Shiranoto, coach of the Katsuteko Moto racing team, gave the following statement about the situation: "While I personally don't agree with riots and possible violence, I can understand those people. Cars are a passion that shouldn't be suffering from something like this! Having friends in the west, we exchange the prices about parts all the time. It's unacceptable that we to pay close to five times as much! The communities and gatherings for racing events are effectively killed off this way. But who knows, maybe that's what this country actually wishes for to happen..."

While this is a situation that still can be maintained, we might see an increasing rate of incidents like these happening. The unrest right now might be limited to material damage, but with this alerting reaction, there soon might be living casualties aswell. Twenty years are a long time, barely anyone has been able to explain why things are taking so long. Those that had something to say, shifted the blame on the west. Any sort of interview with the Augmented Eye was denied.
