The Disappearance of Kira Miki

It has been nearly four months since Kira Miki, lilim superstar whose generous heart and enthralling discography took Glitch City by storm, was taken into protective custody by the GCPD.

Despite the promise of regular updates by a GCPD officer who identified herself as "Lieutenant Malik," Kira Miki's CYBTWIT/BLOG has so far remained silent, prompting the singer's fans to speculate about her health and safety.

The GCPD refused all requests to speak with the celebrity or the celebrity's caretaker, who was taken into custody at the same time. The investigation is ongoing, said a GCPD officer who did not wish to be named.

> "There's been a snag- the investigation is still going, yes, but we're unable to proceed," The officer said, before disconnecting. The GCPD did not respond to additional requests for comment- this reporter suspects that her phone number was blocked.

"Lieutenant Malik" first announced the protective custody of Kira Miki in June of this year, informing eager fans through the lilim's blog after she missed a check in prior to her next scheduled performance. Confusion and anger swept the fan base in the wake of the announcement, some of whom threatened to take action in defense of their blue haired goddess.

> "Hope the guy is caught. He doesn't realize that we fans are miki's true body guards." a user going by the handle of "BigCheat" said.

The GCPD claimed that an attempt had been made on Kira Miki's life during the most recent concert, a charity Christmas performance whose proceeds benefited refugees arriving to Glitch City in the wake of a devastating interstellar civil war. The concert drew record numbers of attendees, especially after Kira Miki publicly announced a waiver of the admission fee, hoping to gather as many fans as possible.

The event took place at the QUIDTRID OMNIDOME directly after one of the worst riots in recent Glitch City memory, colloquially known as "The December Riots," and sported heavy GCPD and corporate security presence. Despite reported plumbing trouble in the venue's restrooms, the performance proceeded uneventfully, allowing Kira Miki to sing several popular Mega Christmas carols in addition to fan favorites, like “Your Love Is My Drug.”

| A person of great influence, suddenly disappearing because of "protection" from the GCPD? No communication on it whatsoever, and she, as well as her manager, never managed to exchange anything with the world in four months? I guess her influence was becoming too big for them to handle, so they took care of the issue.
